Hil Bax Passes Away

Hil Bax, beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend passed away Saturday October 15, 2011. Bax helped to shape the St. Louis welding industry during his 46 years at Cee Kay Supply, until his retirement in 2004. After his retirement Cee Kay acknowledged his contribution to the industry by renaming their tech center the ‘Hil Bax Tech Center’. Bax was known for his tremendous knowledge of welding technology and his technical sales approach. He was a valued member of the American Welding Society for many years and there has been a scholarship fund set up in his honor. Donations can be made payable to American Welding Society St. Louis section and sent to Cee Kay Supply, 5835 Manchester Ave., St. Louis, Mo., 63110. These donations will be part of an annual $500 scholarship given by the AWS St. Louis section to a student pursuing a career in the field of welding and welding technologies.
