St. Louis, MO — Cee Kay Supply teamed up with local artists taking part in St. Louis’ Clean Stream event, providing welding and plasma cutting equipment and gases to turn trash into art. As part of the event, Stream Trash Art project participants salvaged metal picked up from local streams and used it to create eco-art. Teams of local artists converged at a local park to create pieces that were either auctioned off to support the cause or donated and displayed in community park areas. Cee Kay’s Heath Wells, regional vice president of sales, and Dave Teson, area manager, teamed up to weld a blue heron sculpture, which was donated to Lake St. Louis Parks. In all, 267 volunteers collected 15,000 lbs. of trash.
