SMACNA St. Louis held its annual products trade show on September 19th, 2012. More than 400 people were in attendance and over 40 companies had booths at the show, but none of them featured equipment like quite like Cee Kay Supply.

This year, Cee Kay demonstrated Lincoln Electric’s Vrtex™ 360 virtual reality welding system. The Vrtex™ 360 is weld training tool that provides realistic, hands-on experience, without using any materials.  Trade show attendees were encouraged to test their welding skills to see how high of a score they could earn. Scores were tracked and recorded throughout the night and the welder who received the highest score won a Lincoln Electric Viking welding helmet, which is valued at $180. When the time came for the show to end, there was a two-way tie with a score of 92. Ray Reasons from Peters-Eichler Mechanical, Inc. was selected as the winner, after a random drawing.

Cee Kay also featured a Miller Electric Multimatic 200 welding machine. This portable system weighs less than 30 lbs and is capable of MIG, Flux-Cored, DC TIG and DC stick welding. The Multimatic can run on either 120 or 230 volts and is perfect for light fabrication, maintenance and repair, mechanical contractors and construction.
